The Catholic Church… Pillar and Ground of Truth

There are so many cultish groups these days which foster hatred against our Holy Father and the Catholic Church!  They refer to Pope Francis – the very Vicar of Christ appointed by Jesus as the successor of St. Peter to lead our Church – as a ‘false prophet’ in league with the antichrist etc…  or they portray our Pope as some sort of Masonic tool of the New World Order or some other conspiratorial grand satanic scheme… Total Nonsense of course but thousands that visit their internet pages and are members of schismatic sedevacantist-type sects around the world actually believe that our beloved Pope Francis is an EVIL MAN!

EVIL ?????

10525651_284412268397609_2778080257582435364_n And what really is offensive and disrespectful is that these groups and false mystics slander Pope Francis while in the same breath calling themselves ‘CATHOLIC’ organizations and prayer cells!  They want people to listen to the voice of their seer or spiritual entity OVER the voice of Jesus which is heard through the one source whom Christ Himself appointed as guardian of  Truth and of FaithThe One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!

1 Timothy 3:15…

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
 St Peters Dome

God’s Word is heard through Holy Scripture which is rightfully interpreted by those whom Jesus installed as shepherds of the Church – His Apostles – and their successors who are the Bishops of the Catholic Church.  We should listen to our Apostolic Shepherds as it says in

1 John 4:6…

“We are of God. He that knoweth God, heareth us. He that is not of God, heareth us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

Good Shepherd So, how would Jesus have us respond as Faithful Christians to these hateful attackers of our Catholic Church?

Jesus would beckon us to respond through LOVE and PRAYER and to do our best to guide these lost sheep back to the safety and unity of their Faith.  The purpose of this site is just that – to EDUCATE and assist individuals who are in the process of discernment regarding the many questionable groups which seek to lead the faithful astray.  Our purpose at The Ruler is to present Factual Information in line with the Doctrines and Catechism of our Catholic Faith.  We do NOT seek to condemn any individuals or groups as everyone is a Child of God and Jesus tells us to Love One Another.  Jesus did not condemn the woman at the well – no – rather he was kind to her and led her to forgiveness and mercy. At the Last Supper and on the Cross, Jesus left us the wonderful gift of His Body and Blood Truly Present in the Holy Eucharist, but Jesus granted to His Apostles another wonderful grace…  that of forgiving our sins so that we all may indeed share in the Eternal Salvation of Heaven. It is so easy to fall astray in this world with all the evil enticements and false teachings which abound, but Jesus will NEVER abandon us and He will never permit us to be led in the wrong direction by the Church leaders that He appointed to guide our path to Heaven.   We may always be assured of the INDEFECTIBILITY of the Catholic Church and that Jesus’ gift of forgiveness and Divine Mercy is always available to us via the Sacrament of Reconciliation.   There has never been a sinner whom Jesus refused to forgive even showing mercy towards one of the worst of those who persecuted the early Christians…  Saul of Tarsus Acts 8-9…

“But Saul made havock of the church, entering in from house to house, and dragging away men and women, committed them to prison…  And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? …  And Saul arose from the ground; and when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. But they leading him by the hands, brought him to Damascus… And Ananias entered into the house… laying his hands upon him, he said: Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus hath sent me, he that appeared to thee in the way as thou camest; that thou mayest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost… “
Saul and Ananias

Jesus through his designated Shepherd Ananias forgave Saul, who repented and accepted God’s Mercy in Sacramental Confession and went on to become St. Paul – one of the greatest disciples and Fathers of our Catholic Faith.

There are many who would seek to Call us Away from the Truth of our Catholic Faith, but Jesus will always be there to welcome us back into the UNITY and SAFETY of our home in the Catholic Church and that portal of spiritual healing, that fount of Jesus’ Love and Mercy, is found in that tiny little room in the back corner of your local Catholic Church.  Visit it often…

John 20:21-23

“He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.  When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost.  Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them”

There are only two places in the Bible where Jesus ‘breathes’ on someone…

– In the Book of Genesis, God breathes life into the nostrils of Adam and Eve.

– The 2nd time was in the above instance, where Jesus conferred upon his Apostles (who were the first ordained priests/bishops of the Church) the power to forgive sins in His Name.

Jesus here empowered His Church to Act in His Name.
