People are being drawn away from their Catholic Faith and from other mainline Christian Denominations and lured into New Age Occultish sects which create FEAR about the end of the world, natural disasters, World War III, and global famines to come! Such anxiety and panic can often lead to psychological consequences such as severe depression and even suicidal tendencies among cult followers.

These dangerous and compulsive internet cults are constantly baiting new followers with sometimes daily messages of doom and gloom and end-times prophesying. Once ‘hooked’ these followers of seers like Maria Divine Mercy create fake personas on Facebook and join secret closed groups where only those in agreement with the heretical messages are permitted the privilege of membership, and all others who would critique the alleged messages are BOOTED and BLOCKED! These digital secret societies engage in rabid slanderous remarks against Pope Francis and they mock the Doctrines of our Catholic Faith. Their victims of psychological manipulation and brainwashing are led to HATE the Vicar of Christ and taught that he is a ‘wicked’ man and a ‘false prophet’! They are instructed to hoard food and survival supplies in preparation for the coming chastisement of God for the sins of mankind and their only salvation comes not from Jesus Christ but from a paper seal which can be printed off the internet!
Those who follow these digital cults begin to separate themselves from their friends and those they love and spend much of their time praying the over 160 now – ‘Crusade Prayers’ – which must be recited daily to atone for the sins of the world. For some it is praying special Rosaries which Blessed Mother claims will save the life of a baby for each Hail Mary that is prayed on those specially chosen beads…
(Such a devotion has not been approved by the Catholic Church so no special graces are actually attached to prayer on this particular Rosary.)
Or they sit in front of their internet browser reading messages warning them about the coming antichrist and how he is soon going to force us all to accept his ‘Mark of the Beast’ – a tiny microchip implanted under your skin which the devil will use to control your mind.
Now I want to make clear that these cults are not all directly connected, nor do they all share the same false beliefs or hatred towards Pope Francis, but they all share one common theme of DISOBEDIENCE to Church authority in matters of Faith. And they all seem to want us to BUY SOMETHING in order to achieve Salvation for one’s soul or to achieve some noble goal like ending the scourge of abortion.
Here is good advice for anyone who is approached about supporting one of these rogue religious groups…
1. Find out if the visionary’s local bishop has issued any opinion on the seer or their alleged ‘private revelations’. If the bishop has warned AGAINST it, then STEER CLEAR!
2. Is the sect encouraging any sort of HATRED or DISOBEDIENCE towards either the Holy Father or the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
3. Are they inciting FEAR concerning the End of the World, Nuclear Wars, Natural Disasters, etc… FEAR is not from God!
If you see any of these WARNING SIGNS present with the group then urge your friend who is trying to lure you in – to return to the Eucharist and to the safety of Sacraments and Devotions which are officially approved and sanctioned by the Church. Our Catholic Church shall always remain the Pillar and Ground of the TRUTH.
